2016 Capital Budget and Labor Survey Report

Highlights from the report

In January 2016, an online survey was sent to superintendent members of the GCSAA in the United States totaling 6,501 members. The final result of completed surveys totaled 1,308 data sets of the distributed 6,501, a response rate of 20 percent.

Respondents were asked to provide their golf course labor and capital expense budget. Average capital spending in 2013 for an 18-hole course was $95,929. In 2016 the average budgeted amount is $128,144, or an increase of 33.6 percent.
